HO CHI MINH CITY – Truckers are getting creative and navigating the maze of supply chains on the China-Vietnam border to deliver goods to customers from Samsung to Adidas.
Trade came to a screeching halt in December when Beijing closed its borders to stop the spread of the coronavirus. So Vietnamese exporters, eager to unload their cargo, drove to the border, unloaded container trailers and let the Chinese semi-trailers make the final leg.
