II. Classification by external dimensions
Miniature relay:A relay with a longest side dimension not exceeding 10mm.
Subminiature relay:A relay with a longest side dimension greater than 10mm, but not exceeding 25mm.
Small relay:A relay with a longest side dimension greater than 25mm, but not exceeding 50mm.
III. Classification by contact load
Micro power relay:A relay with a load current less than 0.2A.
Low power relay: A relay with a load current between 0.2A and 2A.
Medium power relay:A relay with a load current between 2A and 10A.
High power relay:A relay with a load current exceeding 10A.
Energy-saving power relay: A relay with a load current between 20A and 100A.
IV. Classification by protective characteristics
Sealed relay:,A relay that has its contacts and coil sealed within a metal enclosure, having a lower leakage rate.
Epoxy-sealed relay:A relay that has its contacts and coil sealed within a plastic enclosure, having a higher leakage rate.
Dust cover relay: A relay that has its contacts and coil enclosed and protected by a cover.
Open relay:A relay that does not use a protective cover to protect its contacts and coil.
